Katie Kleinkopf

Biography

Katie completed her PhD in late antique history in 2019. Her dissertation “A Second Skin: Ascetics as Body-Places in Late Antique Christianity” reconceptualizes the boundedness of ascetic bodies. Her research interests include gender and sexuality, landscape studies, the body and new materialism in early Christianity. Katie received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Colorado in 2011 (History and Classics, Magna Cum Laude). She was also the recipient of the Yates Dissertation Fellowship and the Jimmy and Dee Haslam Fellowship in the Public Humanities.
