SUPPORT THE MARCO INSTITUTE!
Thank you for supporting the Marco Institute and premodern studies at the University of Tennessee! You can help us continue to offer our rich program of student fellowships, faculty research and teaching, and public events and outreach activities by giving to one of our endowments below!

The Laura L. Howes Graduate Student Research/Travel Endowment
Established in 2025 in honor of Professor Emerita Laura Howes (English) and her long career and support of the Marco Institute, this endowment supports graduate students to travel and conduct research for their dissertations.

The Marco Institute for Medieval & Renaissance Studies Endowment
Our primary endowment, donating to this will help the Marco Institute continue to support faculty and student research and travel, public programming, outreach efforts, and everything else the Marco Institute does!

Thanks to Our Donors
The Marco Institute is grateful for the generosity of all its donors. We hope you will visit us: come for one of our lectures, workshops or symposia on campus, or tour our space in Cherokee Mills. The institute exists because of your support and our intellectual world is enriched many times over as a result.
Marco has several award and scholarship funds to support our mission to promote the research and teaching of the early periods, and your support can help to make our program better and stronger. Our donors support graduate student and faculty fellowships, Marco’s Medieval and Renaissance programs and events at UT, visiting faculty scholars, and more.
