Biography
Kelsey Blake earned her PhD from the History Department in 2023. Her research explores disability, illness, and healing in early Medieval Frankish miracle texts. She earned her Bachelor’s degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, majoring in history and archaeology. She earned a Master’s degree in Human Osteoarchaeology from the University of Edinburgh, and a Master’s in history from the University of Tennessee. She has been the recipient of the Jimmy & Dee Haslam Fellowship in the Public Humanities, the Haslam Dissertation Fellowship, and a UT Humanities Center Graduate Fellowship.
