Biography
Geoff Martin completed his dissertation, “Mozarab Readers of the Bible, from the Cordoban Martyrs to the Glossa Ordinaria,” in December 2016, under the supervision of Dr. Thomas Burman.
Since finishing his Ph.D., Dr. Martin has continued to research and write about the biblical reading and translating of Medieval Iberia’s Arabic-Speaking Christians (Mozarab). His essay “A Mozarab Translator at Work” is forthcoming in Senses of Scripture (ed. Miriam L. Hjälm), and he is currently revising his dissertation into The Mozarabs’ Bibles, his first monograph, which he will submit to Brill Press. He currently is a Visiting Assistant Professor of History at the College of Charleston.
