As part of the Marco Institute’s long-running commitment to public outreach, we are excited to partner with secondary-school educators from Knoxville and around the state of Tennessee to launch a brand-new online resources for teaching the premodern world!

TOMES, the Toolkit of Online Medieval Educational Sources, will launch in Spring 2026 with a full website that includes lesson plans, media, handouts, assignments, assessments, and everything else educators need to run a lesson or even whole unit on a range of medieval subjects! Drawing on the experience and expertise of our faculty and graduate students, it will provide teachers with materials developed by subject experts in an easy-to-use format ready to be taken right into the classroom!
