Karen Norwood

Biography

Karen is a PhD student pursuing her degree in Literature, Criticism, and Textual Studies with an emphasis in Medieval Studies through the Department of English . She received her Master’s Degree in English with an emphasis in Medieval Literature and Languages from the University of Nevada Reno and her BA in English from the University of Nevada Las Vegas.
 
Her contributions to academia include a book review published in Comitatus: A Journal of Medieval and Renaissance Studies titled "Middle English Romance and the Craft of Memory by Jamie McKinstry (review)". Karen has received a number of awards, including the Douglass Memorial Scholarship for Excellence in Teaching in English, as well as the Chancellor’s Tennessee Top 100 Fellowship for Graduate Excellence, the Bain and Irene Stewart Fellowship, the John C. Hodges Fellowship, and Herman E. Spivey Humanities Graduate Fellowship. 
 
Karen is currently a GTA in the Department of English.
